Sealants are synthetic or man made paint protectants. They were produced to ease the application and removal process of protectants as well as offer longer protection time. When applied properly most sealants will last 6 months and some even up to a year before needing to be re-applied. Although they last longer then waxes paint sealants can still be broken down prematurely by things like insects and bird droppings as well as APC's (all purpose cleaners) and bug & tar removers. A paint sealant can be applied in lieu of a carnauba wax for a $50 surcharge.
